דר מנחם שכטר רופא גסטרו מומחה בכיר בביה"ח שערי צדק. שם הוא אחראי למרפאת גסטרו- גנטיקה ומטפל ומייעץ לאנשים ומשפחות בסיכון גבוה לממאירות במערכת העיכול בכדי למנוע גידולים. במקביל הוא מבצע בדיקות אנדוסקופיות מתקדמות כולל בדיקות גסטרוסקופיה וקולונוסקופיה לגילוי מוקדם וטיפול מחלה. הוא גם משמש כמנהל מחלקת גסטרו בביה"ח משגב לדך בירושלים.

Dr Schechter is a Senior Attending physician at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, where he runs the Gastro Genetics Clinic, which treats individuals and families at high risk for GI malignancy. He performs advanced endoscopic procedures for early detection and treatment of GI diseases. He also serves as director of the GI unit at Misgav Ladach in Jerusalem.

He treats the array of gastrointestinal illnesses including:

Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Functional disorders

Early detection and cancer prevention

Diseases of the liver and pancreas

Dr Schechter tries to complement medical treatment with other modalities including dietary treatments and complementary medicine. He performs acupuncture for gastrointestinal issues in his private clinic as an adjunct to care.
